Ohio University Regional Airport

The airport

• provides general aviation transportation to and from the Athens area (courtesy cars may be available for ground transportation);

• supports research performed by the Avionics Engineering Center;

• supports instruction by the Department of Aviation.

Directions to the Airport from the West

If you are coming East on US-50 (for example, from Chillicothe), the airport will be across the highway when you stop at the junction with OH-32. Turn left, onto OH-32 East, then take the next right, onto Athens County Road 71, and then turn right into the Airport.

If you are coming from Jackson on OH-32, the airport will be on your right as you reach the junction with US-50 (which comes in from the left, only), less than two miles after entering Athens County. Continue for less than a mile on US-50 East and OH-32 East; turn right onto Athens County Road 71, and then turn right into the Airport.

If you pass the junction with OH-681 or pass a Dairy Queen on your right, you have gone too far.

Directions to the Airport from the East

Take US-50 West and OH-32 West through Albany. You will go about nine miles from the OH-682 interchange. In Albany you will pass the Dairy Queen on your left. Less than two miles farther, turn left onto Athens County Road 71, and then turn right into the Airport. If you reach the junction where US-50 West turns right, you have gone too far.
